Brazil has added 4.657GW of installed capacity to its power grid this year, according to the latest government data.
Overall installed capacity reached 130.49GW following the startup of 435MW in August, Brazil's mining and energy ministry (MME) said in a bulletin on Monday.
Meanwhile MME said 2,516km of transmission lines and 8.877GVA of transforming capacity had also been added since January 1.
