Brazil's power regulator Aneel has approved testing of two generating units totaling 122MW at the Suzano Mucuri thermoelectric plant.
The facility is located in the city of Mucuri in Brazil's northeastern state of Bahia, Aneel said in a statement.
Meanwhile, the regulator authorized the commercial startup of a 25MW unit at the Bioenergia Lagoa da Prata thermoelectric plant in Minas Gerais state.
Also in Minas Gerais, Aneel approved the operation of a 220kW turbine at the Samburá hydroelectric plant in São Roque de Minas.
