Brazil approves Eletropaulo rate hike

Brazilian power regulator Aneel has approved an average 18.66% tariff rise for distributor Eletropaulo.

Prices will rise 19.93% for industrial consumers and 18.06% for low-tension users, Aneel said in a statement.

The changes will affect 6.7mn consumers in the state of São Paulo.

Aneel also announced average hikes of 10.84% for Celtins, in Tocantins state, and 5.18% for São Paulo's Ceris.
