Brief: Bolivian lawmakers greenlight financing

The Bolivian senate approved a loan the government had signed with IDB for US$100mn to finance the second rural electrification program, which is coordinated by the energy ministry's power department and state power company Ende.

The funds also will support the drafting of a national rural electrification plan, the legislative body said in a statement.
