Chile Watch: Developer says ruling doesn't affect US$1bn dispatch project

InterChile reported that the Santiago environmental tribunal's decision to accept a claim from Comunidad Agrícola La Dormida against environmental evaluation service SEA's approval of the US$1bn Cardones-Polpaico transmission project does not impact construction.

"Regarding its scope, the ruling does not affect in any way the validity of the RCA [environmental qualification resolution], nor suspends its effects, and only orders the SEA to process the request for invalidation, having to issue a substantive decision in this regard," according to InterChile, local paper La Tercera reported.
