Colombia grid demand hits 5.25TWh
Colombia's electricity demand on the national SIN grid rose 3.8% to 5.25TWh in November, local power wholesaler XM said in its latest report. Between December 2013 and November 2014, demand increased 4.2%.
Exports to Venezuela fell to 0.04GWh in November, a 99.6% drop from the year-ago month. Exports to Ecuador rose to 138GWh, up 124% on the same month last year.
Industrial manufacturers had the highest demand share, with 45.5%, followed by extractive industries (22.2%) and the social, community-based and individual services sector (11.5%), the report said.
