With four plants installed in three departments of Bolivia, the Electric Energy Generating Company ENDE Guaracachi SA, managed to position itself in the country as a pioneer in the implementation, operation, maintenance and administration of all major and largest solar plants in Bolivia. First in isolated systems and from 2018 injecting its energy into the National Interconnected System - SIN.
They are a total of 70.4 MW of solar generation that are formed so far; of these 5 MW are created in the first solar plant installed in Cobija, which has a hybrid technology, which feeds the isolated system of Pando and whose usefulness awakens the interest of authorities and universities in the neighboring country of Brazil through permanent visits to the site.
For its part, ENDE Guaracachi SA, installed the first solar plant in that department and in turn the first to be connected to the SIN in Bolivia. The Yunchará Solar Plant, located in the Tarijeño highlands, generates 5 MW of clean energy that benefits all SIN users.
Meanwhile, the Uyuni Solar Plant, which is considered the largest in Bolivia, has 60 MW of generation, and is located on an area of 95 hectares of land.
Finally, the El Sena Solar Plant is the last one to be implemented by the company in 2018; and it is located in the department of Pando. This is the second project of hybrid technology and generates energy that benefits eight thousand inhabitants of this Amazonian area.
With these ENDE solar plants, Guaracachi SA implemented its geographical presence in Bolivia and diversified the technology for generating electricity with a portfolio of projects in another type of renewable electricity generation, such as biomass and hydroelectric, which will be implemented as of 2019.
