Enel's Peru power concessions top 1GW

Enel Green Power secured a temporary power concession in Peru that takes the company's project portfolio in the country to 1,140MW.

The Italian firm's latest concession is for 120MW wind farm Prada, according to an energy and mines ministry resolution.

Enel submitted the request in August and now has 24 months to carry out feasibility studies in districts Lomas and Marcona in southern regions Arequipa and Ica, respectively.

The company already holds temporary concessions for wind projects Lachay (100MW), Lomas de Marcona (100MW), La Viuda (100MW), Nazca (100MW), Pampa Salinas (40MW) and Punta Cherrepe (100MW).

Enel's temporary solar concessions are Esmeralda (40MW), La Joya Enel (100MW), Layagache (40MW), Pampa Las Pulgas (40MW), Pampa Siguas (40MW), Rubi (40MW) and Tesoro (40MW).
