Iberdrola's net power production from renewables in Latin America grew 29.6% to 455GWh in the first half of the year compared to 1H13.
The Spanish group's total electricity generation from the region rose 0.8% to 18.9TWh, according to a company report.
The bulk of output came from combined cycle (16.8TWh, +0.6%) followed by hydro (886GWh, -4.5%) and cogeneration (715GWh, -0.1%).
Iberdrola's installed capacity in the region at end-June totaled 6.02GW. Combined cycle accounted for 5.05GW, renewables 418MW, hydro 381MW and cogeneration 172MW.
Companywide net power production in 1H14 hit 34.2TWh and installed capacity reached 45GW.
Iberdrola will release its first half financials on July 23.
