IN BRIEF: Colombia port terminal launches power consultancy tender

Colombia's Terminal de Contenedores de Cartagena (Contecar) is accepting proposals from interested US firms to carry out a feasibility study into power supply alternatives for the Caribbean coast port.

"The power supplied to the port has become highly irregular, where power interruptions totaled over 280 hours in 2016," according to the RFP published by the US Trade and Development Agency, which awarded a grant to Contecar to conduct the study.
