Odebrecht-Enagás lands Peru flagship gas pipeline

Peru's private investment promotion agency ProInversión awarded consortium Gasoducto Sur Peruano (Odebrecht-Enagás) natural gas pipeline concession Gasoducto Sur Peruano.

The group won with a bid of US$7.33bn while the technical offer presented by Gasoducto Peruano del Sur was not accepted, state news agency Andina reported.

ProInversión capped the maximum service cost - comprised of investment and O&M - at US$7.8bn.

The US$3.6bn project comprises a 1,000km, 32-inch diameter system divided into three stretches.

Potential offtakers are thermoelectric and petrochemical plants, among other users. The concession includes an option to transport liquids, such as ethane.
