Peru's new transmission project to cost US$148mn

Peru's private investment promotion agency ProInversión has issued a call for bids to reinforce transport in Lima region.

Estimated investment for the country's latest power transmission concession reaches US$148mn.

Work includes expansion of the Industriales substation, and construction of new substation Córpac and the 9km, 220kV underground line Industriales-Córpac.

Qualification documents for the 30-year concession are due by March 6. The winner will have 25 months to carry out the work.

Bidding also is underway for transmission concessions Nueva Lurín and Azángaro-Juliaca-Puno, and a call for new hydroelectric capacity is in the pipeline.
