Spain's Solaria secures Uruguay solar PPAs

Spanish renewable energy developer Solaria secured PPAs with Uruguay's state power utility UTE for two photovoltaic solar plants.

Each plant has a peak capacity of 10MW, according to a filing with Spain's securities regulator CNMV.

The Yarnel project will be built in the city of Young in Rio Negro department, while the Natelu plant will be built in Mercedes, Soriano department.

The filing did not specify startup dates for either project.

Solaria operates a 3MW solar plant in Brazil, with local utility holding Cemig.
