
Entel Bolivia has invested US$4.7mn in Dakar Rally coverage
Bolivian state telco Entel has invested US$4.7mn since last year to provide mobile communications to the Dakar Rally, local press reported Entel CEO Oscar Coca as saying.
In 2014 the investment totaled US$3.9mn, while an additional US$750,000 was allotted to the race under way this month, which Bolivia is hosting along with Argentina and Chile.
Entel's mobile connectivity for the race covers 600km, with speeds of 20Mbps for 3G and 30Mbps for 4G networks.
