
EPM received offers for the construction of civil works for generation units 5 to 8 of Hidroituango

At 4:00 pm this Wednesday, December 7, the closing date for the receipt of bids for the contracting process CRW 167467, whose purpose is the construction of the final civil works of the Ituango hydroelectric project (Hidroituango), which includes the Generation 5 to 8.
This process, advanced by public request for offers, was opened last March and ten companies, both national and foreign, expressed their interest in participating. After attending to the various requests for clarification by the interested parties, nine addenda were issued.

As of the date, EPM will begin the evaluation process of these offers. Units 5 to 8 of Hidroituango do not have a regulatory commitment. It is estimated that the start of works will begin in the second half of 2023.
The Ituango hydroelectric project is made up of eight generation units, with an installed capacity of 300 megawatts of energy each, for the National Interconnected System (SIN).
In total there will be 2,400 megawatts, corresponding to 17% of the energy that the country needs to continue growing and contribute to the well-being and quality of life of millions of Colombians.
