IFT updates telecoms statistics website
Mexico's telecoms regulator IFT updated its telecommunications and broadcast statistics website. This will make it easier for users to obtain data on the country's market. The regulator also promised a timetable for the publication of information for January 2019.
The updated Telecommunications Information Bank (BIT) consolidates in graphic and table formats data from other IFT information resources and offers content such as services adoption for each of the country's 32 states and at the county level.
Aldo Sánchez, strategic planning coordinator at the IFT, told a press conference that the regulator is looking into offering a timetable for the publication of new statistical information as early as January 2019.
The statistics website includes quarterly and historical data on mobile and fixed telephony and internet services as well as pay TV and broadcast services, including economic and competition data, among others.
