IN BRIEF: Brazil's port minister latest to tender resignation

Helder Barbalho (pictured) has resigned from his position as minister of Brazil's special ports department SEP.
The resignation is largely a sign of solidarity with President Dilma Rousseff ahead of a possible impeachment process, for which Barbalho said that she had a "complete absence of responsibility" for the charges she is facing.
Barbalho was the only remaining PMDB party member who held a ministerial post after fellow PMDB member Eduardo Braga tendered his resignation from the mining and energy ministry earlier this week. The PMDB split from President Dilma Rousseff's governing coalition last month.
