Brief: São Paulo publishes bus concessions bidding notice
São Paulo published a bus transportation bidding notice for South America's largest city.
According to the notice, the city aims to make travel more comfortable, modernize the fleet, better distribute lines and generally increase coverage of the public transport system.
With the new network, buses will roll on more streets, as coverage will increase from currently 4,680km to 5,100km.
Concessions will be separated into 31 lots with different, 20-year contracts, likely to be signed until the end of this year, according to local media.
