São Paulo to launch roadworks tender
DER, the roads department of Brazil's São Paulo state government, will launch a tender on Monday to improve 37km of state highways, a project requiring some 103mn reais (US$32.8mn), a spokesperson told BNamericas.
"Proposals will be due at DER headquarters on May 16," the spokesperson said.
DER is part of the state's logistics and transport unit.
The 12-month project primarily involves restoring and paving 33km of highway SP-207, also known as the Doutor José Vasconcelos dos Reis highway.
Another 4km of improvements, however, are also expected for the SPA 264/350 and SPA 270/350 onramps.
The project, near the municipalities of São Sebastião da Grama, São José do Rio Pardo and Mococa, is part of a state-wide highway investment program supported by financing from Inter-American Development Bank.
DER launched a 174mn-real tender earlier this week. It calls for widening and improving 7.5km of state highway SP-088 between Arujá and Mogi das Cruzes.
