Zurich Chile steps up focus on rental-producing assets

The Chilean subsidiary of Swiss insurance giant Zurich has increased its rental-producing real estate investments to US$270mn.

Chilena Consolidada-Zurich Chile also said in a press release that it invested US$13.5mn in a logistics center in the town of Lampa, north of Santiago.

The investment increased Zurich's portfolio in Chile of rental-producing assets to 14 properties, including logistics centers, office buildings and a commercial center.

Chilena Consolidada has formed part of Zurich Insurance Group since 1991.
