May liquids, gas output up 0.74%, 7.49%

Peru's liquid hydrocarbons production in May averaged 153,939b/d, according to state hydrocarbons promotion agency Perupetro. BNamericas reported last month that output in April this year averaged 152,808b/d. The bulk of May production came from blocks 88 (47,185b/d) and 56 (34,337b/d), according to state news agency Andina. These areas were followed by blocks 1-AB (18,066b/d), X (13,281b/d), Z-2B (11,238b/d) and 8 (9,918b/d). Production in the month from other blocks totaled 19,914b/d. NATURAL GAS Natural gas output averaged 1.11Bf3/d (31.5Mm3/d) in May, up 7.49% from April due to increased shipments to the Pampa Melchorita LNG plant, according to Andina. Blocks 56 and 88 produced 635Mf3/d and 432Mf3/d, respectively, followed by areas X (14.2Mf3/d), Z-2B (11.6Mf3/d) and 31-C (10.2Mf3/d). Monthly output from other blocks totaled 8.93Mf3/d. In 2010, Peru's liquid hydrocarbons production rose 8.18% to 57.4Mb and natural gas output grew 104% to 255Bf3.
