Brief: Mexico reviewing duties on Ukrainian ferroalloy
Mexico's economy ministry launched a review of antidumping duties on ferro-silicomanganese from Ukraine.
Duties were first imposed in 2003 at 51.3% and lowered to 16.6% in 2010.
The review was launched following an expression of interest by Mexican ferroalloy producer and manganese miner Minera Autlán, according to a filing on the official federal gazette website.
Dumping is a key threat to Mexico's steel sector. The ministry imposed new antidumping duties on steel tubes from South Korea, Spain, India and Ukraine in April.
