Argentina seeks compressors for US$255mn gas pipeline

Argentina's energy and mining ministry launched a call for engine-driven compressors as part of a US$255mn natural gas pipeline expansion.

The call, announced through a ministerial resolution published in the official gazette, is the second of three stages in the project tender. The first stage was a call announced last week for pipes.

The pipeline's construction will be put out tender by the end of this month, state news service Télam reported.

The expansion will bring natural gas to 104,500 homes in provinces Buenos Aires, Chubut, Río Negro and Santa Fe.
