Dominican Republic will receive offers for seismic campaign

In the coming days the Dominican Republic will open a counter-offer process in order to receive proposals from interested companies to carry out a 2D seismic campaign and a 3D seismic campaign in both high-resolution "offshore" cases, in areas delimited within the exclusive economic zone and / or territorial waters of the country; and another process for reprocessing the existing seismic lines existing in the "onshore" and "offshore" territory within the exclusive economic zone and / or territorial waters of the country, in the three (3) cases in Multi-Client mode.

The specific specifications with the terms of references (TDR's) will be published together with the formal announcement of the process in the coming days.

It should be noted that the Dominican Republic has the National Hydrocarbons Data Base (BNDH), developed by the company Schlumberger (SLB: NYSE), which contains nearly 21,500 kilometers of seismic information, collected in the last 50 years, and available to the interested public at no cost through its website www.bndh.gob.do

For this occasion, only those companies that have carried out 2D and / or 3D seismic campaigns at sea in at least 3 countries in the last eight (8) years and that have launched at least five thousand (5,000) linear kilometers will be considered. total of 2D seismic lines in the last eight (8) years and / or at least five hundred square kilometers of 3D seismic in the last eight (8) years.
