Ecopetrol informs that it activated the contingency plan of the Caño Limón Coveñas pipeline, for an attack registered yesterday at kp 011 + 710, jurisdiction of the Acacias village, municipality of Arauquita, department of Arauca.

The attack produced oil fall in soil and topsoil in an approximate area of 1,250 square meters.

Immediately the attack was known the contingency plan was activated that included the protection of the water intake of the aqueduct of the Arauquita municipality.

Likewise, the Municipal Council of Risk and Disaster Management of Arauquita, Saravena, the Departmental of Arauca, and the corresponding environmental authorities were notified.
