Crude output reached 2.18Mb/d, up 3.9% on the April figure, Petrobras said in a statement on Monday.

Natural gas production climbed 0.5% to 78.9Mm3/d.

Oil and natural gas output from pre-salt fields deep below the Atlantic seabed jumped 5.1% to 1.57Mboe/d.

Petrobras attributed the increases to the startup of the P-66 platform in the Lula field; the return to operation of the P-37 and Cidade de Angra dos Reis platforms after maintenance shutdowns; and the launch of a new production well at Marlim Sul in the Campos basin.
