Paraíba greenlights new beltway

Brazil's Paraíba state authorized a construction tender for a 210mn-real (US$41mn), 18.7km beltway in state capital João Pessoa’s metropolitan region.
The government also seeks to build two viaducts. Works should start in the first half and take two years, according to a press release.
“With planning, competence and fiscal balance, the government manages to carry out [the] project with the state's own resources,” infrastructure, water resources and environment secretary Deusdete Queiroga said in the release.
Tender documents were not published.
