EP Petroecuador informs that it maintains the delivery of fuels for the operation of the thermoelectric plants owned by the Electric Corporation of Ecuador (CELEC EP) aligned with the objective of the National Government to guarantee attention to the demand for energy on a national scale, in the framework of the drought that affects the country.

The total fuel provided by EP Petroecuador between 1st. and on January 9 for electricity generation it is 12,139,491 gallons of fuel. They are broken down as follows: 2,924,247 gallons of Diesel 2; 1,013,177 gallons of Premium Diesel; 5'681.506 of Electric Fuel Oil; 30,100 million BTU (British Thermal Unit) and 2,520,561 gallons of waste, essential inputs for the operation of electric generators.

EP Petroecuador makes adjustments in internal demand to maintain the supply of fuels to CELEC EP, without affecting the company's activities throughout its value chain, which feed the General State Budget for the benefit of all Ecuadorians.

EP Petroecuador will continue to support the increased demand for fuels during the dry season to avoid impacts on the public, apart from the debt of 145.99 million dollars (until November 2022) that CELEC EP maintains, for the purchase of fuels.
