Abertis has closed the divestment of its 33.3% stake in Aeropuertos Mexicanos del Pacífico (AMP) to Mexican partner Controladora Mexicana de Aeropuertos (CMA).
Through its fully owned subsidiary Desarrollo de Concesiones Aeroportuarias, Abertis received US$222mn for the stake, according to a company release.
Abertis said the deal is one of the last steps in a process begun last year to exit the airport business. The company has sold its airport operations in the UK, Sweden and the US.
