SICOM launches call for tenders for the construction of the Talabarteros bridge in León

Guanajuato, Gto., November 02, 2022.- Before the end of this year, the Secretariat of Infrastructure, Connectivity and Mobility (SICOM), will begin the construction of the bridge that will be located at the intersection of the José María Morelos boulevards and Leatherworkers of Aurora, in the city of León.

For this important work that complements the Bicentennial Fast Track, the State Government plans to invest around 121 million pesos, reported the head of SICOM, Tarcisio Rodríguez Martínez.

The official commented that, this Tuesday, November 1, the call for the tender for the construction of this work was published, in which companies specialized in the execution of road infrastructure works are invited to participate.

He explained that the work contemplates the construction of a vehicular bridge in a structure of three clearings, on the central bodies of José María Morelos Boulevard, in asphalt concrete, the construction of a lateral lane of hydraulic concrete 3.5 meters wide in each direction, system of returns and four lanes in the central part under the vehicular overpass and sidewalk area.

Said bridge will have two sections (directions of traffic) with a roadway width of 11.50 meters in the area of the bridge to accommodate 3 lanes of 3.50 meters each and a 0.50-meter shoulder on both sides for each section (direction of traffic) and access ramps.

The head of the SICOM indicated that work will also be carried out consisting of the construction of provisional supports and the attachment of a metal framework to the existing aquaferic in the work area, as well as the necessary works for the diversion of road flow in the area.

The work involves actions such as the drilling and construction of foundation piles, substructure columns, headers, mechanically stabilized walls, paving of the central body, side roads and returns, placement of traffic lights in the area of the underbridge, public lighting, CFE lines , drinking water, as well as a bike path.

This vehicular bridge is part of the package of works announced in August during the presentation of the Economic Reactivation Program for León, by the Governor of the State, Diego Sinhue Rodríguez Vallejo, for an amount greater than 889 million pesos, between resources 100% state and concurrence with the municipality.

Rodríguez Martínez recalled that, in the current state administration, a strong impetus has been given to consolidate the Bicentennial Fast Track in León, with the construction of the Téllez Cruces and Hilario Medina bridges, so that, with the Talabarteros bridge, continuity is given to the modernization of this road of more than 18 kilometers in length, which begins at the Juan Pablo II Road Distributor and ends at the intersection with the Paseo de los Insurgentes Boulevard Extension, at the Lagos de Moreno exit.
