Uruguay presented a project to subsidize 100 electric buses for passengers

The project was prepared by the Ministries of Industry, Energy and Mining, Economy and Finance, Housing, Territorial Planning and the Environment and Transport and Public Works.
According to a survey carried out by the Ministry of Industry in Montevideo, the units have a cost close to $ 450,000, but "in a period of less than seven years, 100% of the difference could be recovered, with a useful life of less 14 years, "he said. He pointed out that the project will subsidize up to 100 units, in a first stage.
Now, the goal is to massify the plan and regulation, as well as the development of financing so that municipalities and transport companies can reach an agreement. "We are committed to continuing to reduce the consumption of derivatives, comply with environmental and economic goals and improve the quality of service," he added.
