Description: Inversiones Piedras Negras Ltda, intends to expand the exploitation of aggregates that has approved environmental relevance (Exempt Resolution No. 265/2016) by a volume of 95,978 m3, enabling a new area of exploitation complementary to the existing well in the same property. The project allows quantifying an aggregate extraction volume of approximately 300,000 m3 in an intervention area of 16.96 ha, delimited by the proximity of the Renaico River and a smaller natural flow channel. Given the above condition, a study of flooding of the natural channel that allows to know the hydraulic behavior of the river and its interaction with the projected land for the proposed extraction wedge is presented, this study is presented in Annex 01 Hydraulics. The justification of the project focuses on covering the demand for material in the area and on the favorable conditions of the land where the project is located, as well as being an efficient solution for the demand for material that will be required by the Project Expansion of the San Gabriel Wind Farm Project , as well as for the improvement of roads and infrastructure to be required in the commune and surroundings. A useful life of 24 months of operation stage is projected, with an annual volume that will be approximately 150,000 m3. To the aggregate extraction, a crushing process is added by means of a mobile crushing plant with which a crushed material with a constant granulometry or as homogeneous as possible is obtained. The site within which the extraction project is located corresponds to Lot four B of the granddaughter number two of the Fundo Colhue, municipality of Renaico, province of Malleco, Ninth Region. The site has a total area of 72.8 ha and is approximately 10.9 km southeast of the municipality of Renaico. Objective The present Environmental Impact Statement (DIA) has the objective of submitting an environmental evaluation to the Project “Expansion of the El Fortín Aggregates Extraction Plant”, by the owner Inversiones Piedras Negras Ltda, a project that will be located in the municipality of Renaico, Araucanía Region .
