The Arturo Merino Benítez international airport project involves a series of initiatives to modernize the facility and to boost its capacity so that it can handle a forecast increase in passenger traffic. The project includes the construction of a new passenger terminal, mainly for international flights. It also involves improvements to and an expansion of the current terminal, which will be used mostly for domestic flights, in addition to numerous other works in the areas of parking, cargo and administration.
