Description: Capacity Expansion of the Sewage Treatment System, Aguas San Pedro Submarine Outfalls This Project consists of the installation of a new submarine outfall, which will discharge pre-treated sewage into the sea, outside the coastal protection zone (ZPL). Aguas San Pedro SA currently has a sewage treatment plant (PTAS) that discharges the treated water into the sea, through an underwater outfall inside the ZPL. With the implementation of the new submarine outfall, the current sewage treatment plant (PTAS) will be out of service and will remain available as a backup unit, as part of the emergency plan, in the event of a possible unwanted failure of the new outfall. submarine. The existing Sewage Treatment Plant (PTAS) has two environmental qualification resolutions, RE No. 28/2004, "Improvement of the Coronel Industrial Park wastewater treatment plant" and RE No. 277/2012, “ Regularization and expansion of capacity of the Industrial Park Sewage Treatment Plant”, whose relationship with this project will be its use as a backup unit. A copy of the exempt resolutions is attached in Annex 2 of this DIA. This Project contemplates the installation of a compact pretreatment made up of two units that will work in parallel, consisting of fine grinding, sand removal and degreasing. The pre-treated water will be conducted to a new HDPE submarine outfall, 900 mm in diameter, approximately 1,403 m long, which will go into the sea and will be located parallel to the existing one, which will allow the pre-treated sewage to be discharged outside the ZPL. , set through the DGTM and MM Ord. 12,600/05/1127 VRS. The objective of the project is the installation and operation of a new submarine outfall that will allow the pre-treated water to be discharged into the sea outside the Coastal Protection Zone (ZPL).
