Description: Puerto Caldera SA, through Muelle Punta Caleta of its property, exports fruits in the summer season (from the last week of November to the first week of February of each year approximately). In the last 2017 season, 5.5 million boxes of fruit were shipped (in pallets to warehouse and in containers) that resulted in the docking of 12 vessels with a movement, during the period, of 2,865 trucks (40 trucks / day approximately). In order to have and generate a business alternative to the shipment of fruits and take advantage of the installed capacity of the dock during the rest of the year, the holder presents for evaluation the project “Collection and shipment of copper concentrate in Punta Caleta dock Puerto Caldera SA ”, which will allow to offer to various producers of copper concentrate (Annex II: HDS copper concentrate) in the region and outside it, the storage, support and logistics facilities for the shipment of the concentrate, in strict adherence to the applicable environmental and sector regulations. During the operational phase, the shipment of a maximum of 50,000 tons / month of copper concentrate per pier Punta Caleta SA is contemplated. The berthing of a maximum of two vessels per month of up to 66,000 tons of displacement is projected, with dimensions and capacities usually , and to date, received at Punta Caleta dock and according to the respective authorizations (Annex III Dock Authorization). The maneuvers of loading and unloading of fuel to or from the vessels are not part of the project. For the development of the project in comment, the authorization of a storage shed, in metallic structure, of an area of 5,920 m2 and its respective support units, to be located within a polygon of approximately 16,200 m2 is contemplated. The parts that constitute the project include: 3.2.2.1.- Enabling of physical works: The project includes the activities of preparation and conditioning of the land, currently operated and used mostly as truck parking, for the construction of physical works of support and infrastructure for mounting storage shed. A construction period is contemplated from the installation of works until the delivery of the works of about 250 days. 3.2.2.2.- Collection and shipment service Once the respective RCA has been obtained and all physical works are enabled, the service will consist of the following operations: 1.- The reception of trucks with copper concentrate from potential clients for a maximum of 21 days per month at a maximum rate of 100 trucks / day throughout the year, 2.- Storage, collection and consolidation of copper concentrate load in the respective shed and 3.- The shipment of copper concentrate through the use of containers Open-top and spreader flip-flops in up to 7 days a month throughout the year. For the above, 10 trucks will be used, to operate between sheds and docks, at a maximum rotational flow of approximately 12 trucks / hour. The shed contemplates a main ship of 60 mx 77 m, 12 m shoulder and 21 m ridge attached to a secondary ship 20 mx 24 m, 11 m shoulder and 14 m ridge. (Annex IV: Plans and views shed, ventilation units and air extraction and dust collection). The planned support units, from which all administration and service support tasks will be carried out, correspond to offices, bathrooms and exchange rooms in a modular unit of an area of 120 m2 (Annex V Administration and services plans), a 50 ton Roman control booth, 250 KVA electric booth, Gradient maintenance and dust collection system and a perimeter closure of the site (926 m). The equipment to be used in the embarkation operation will comprise 10 open-top containers to be loaded onto hopper trucks and two flip-up spreaders to load and turn the respective containers inside the wineries of each vessel.
