Project Details

Covering an area of 209km2 in the Poza Rica-Altamira asset, the San Andrés block comprises fields San Andrés, Santa Lucía, Remolino and Hallazgo. The block houses 356 wells: 50 are operational, 250 are shut-in and 56 are plugged and abandoned. San Andrés is one of six mature field blocks included in Pemex's second round of incentive-based contracts. Colombian-Venezuelan firm Monclova Pirineos Gas was awarded the Tierra Blanca license in conjunction with Mexico's Alfasid del Norte in June 2012. The block currently produces about 4,320b/d.
