Description

The Barrancas del Cobre international airport will serve as international conection to cities such as Hermosillo, Torreón, Ciudad Juárez and Los Mochis, in México; as well as Tucson, Arizona and El Paso, Texas, in United States. It will have a 2600 meters central track, with 30m wide and a surface of 78,000km2, while the platform will have 240m long, 75 wide and 18,000m2, covering a total area of 481,296m2. The 20-year concession was awarded to Administradora de Servicios Aeroportuarios de Chihuahua S.A. de C.V, company owned by the Chihauhua state government (98%) and local businessman Luis Carlos Sias Enríquez (2%). The concession may be extended for a period of up to 50 years.
