Description: The project calls for the construction of a cargo rail terminal, including a railway beltway made of up three bypasses totaling 24km - Tepehuanes-Cerro del Mercado (6.8km), Zacatecas-Torreón (12.6km) and Tepehuanes-Torreón bypasses - and construction of a 13.3¡25ha multi-modal terminal. Mexico's transport and communications ministry SCT will provide the bulk of the investment, 476mn pesos (US$40mn), while the state government will provide the remaining 178mn pesos (US$15mn), which will be used to fund the purchase of a 13.25ha site.
