Description

Bolivia's Carrasco-Cochabamba GCC natural gas pipeline will increase the country's gas capacity. The extra volume will help satisfy industrial demand in departments Cochabamba, Oruro and La Paz, in particular during the upcoming winter. The 250km, 16-inch diameter GCC pipeline is comprised of three sections: Carrasco-Villa Tunari (stage one, 108km), Villa Tunari-Pampa Tambo (stage two, 78 km) and Pampa Tambo-Cochabamba (stage three, 65km). Stage one was inaugurated last June and stage three in 2009.
