Description

The Meta department corridor involves the expansion, operation and maintenance of the highway and construction of a bypass around department capital Villavicencio, as part of Colombia's 4G highway development program. The Meta highway network comprises highways connecting river port cities Puerto Gaitán and Puerto Lopez with Villavicencio and from Villavicencio to the municipality of Granada. The project will improve transport infrastructure and consequently lower costs for Meta's primary industries, including petroleum production and livestock.
