Description

The Bií Hioxo project calls for the construction and operation of a wind farm in Mexico's Oaxaca state. It will boast 117, 2MW wind turbines. Emission reduction is expected to be 412,000, equivalent to 172Ml/y of gasoline. The project developer will sell 114MW of output to state-run utility CFE to be distributed to Mexico's national SEN grid. The remaining 120MW will be sold to industrial clients. The wind farm is being developed by Fuerza y Energía Bií Hioxo, S.A, the local unit of Spanish gas and power company Gas Natural Fenosa.
