Description: The La Fe-San Martín wind farm, consisting of 22 wind turbines, would be the country's second commercial wind farm after the 63MW Amayo wind farm. The initiative falls under the country's energy and mine ministry's plan to diversify Nicaragua's power matrix to reduce dependency on fossil fuels. The government aims for 70% of grid capacity to be provided by renewable power by 2016.
