Description

The Agua Prieta wastewater treatment plant is expected to treat roughly 80% of the wastewater produced in state capital Guadalajara, benefitting 4.1mn people living in the city's metropolitan area. It will have the capacity to treat 8,500l/s of wastewater, making it Latin America's third largest plant behind Chile's La Farfana and Mexico's Atotonilco de Tula plant in Mexico's Hidalgo state. The plant will be built and operated by a consortium led by ICA subsidiary Conoisa, Atlatec, and Servicios de Agua Trident under a 20-year concession.
