The union of the two systems will reduce travel times both for those coming from neighboring municipalities and for people moving within the city. The project will consist of: Main branch of 41.00 km, and connects the city of Bogotá (around Calle 26) with the towns of Mosquera, Madrid, el Corzo and Facatativá. El Dorado Airport Branch, 4.10 km long, connecting the main branch (at Catam) with El Dorado International Airport The "Regiotram de Occidente" is a 100% electric train-tram system and it will connect with the First Line of The Bogotá Metro on Carrera 14 with Calle 26, through the railway corridor that runs through the capital.
