Description

The project calls for the construction of the 7.6km Chimalhuacán II drainage tunnel to prevent flooding in the low-lying areas of Mexico's central valley. The project will have a 5m diameter and a capacity of 49,570l/s. Work will also include the construction of five intake shafts with a 12-16m diameter to intercept and transport surface stormwater runoff and sewage.
