Description

The project calls for the construction of a desalination plant which will process 200l/s (17Ml/d) in an initial phase, with capacity for expansion to 600l/s (52Ml/d). The reverse osmosis plant will supply industrial-grade water for iron and steel group CAP's Cerro Negro Norte iron ore project. The Chilean group awarded Acciona Agua a contract to build and operate the facility for a period of 20 years.
