Paso San Francisco S Improvement: Pedernales - Salar De Maricunga
Works that are part of the integral improvement of the international corridor and the strategic guidelines: integration and ordering of the territory for a harmonic development where the development of initiatives that guarantee a better and adequate regional connectivity stands out. This initiative corresponds to the integral improvement of the geometry and the cross section, in addition to the paving of the Route that gives access to the San Francisco Pass, in the area between Pedernales and the Salar de Maricunga, considering the execution of works that respond to the document design standards for access roads to Border Crossings, category B. This section begins on Route C-173 (km 0.9) at the beginning of the Salar de Pedernales, until the intersection of this Route with Route 31-CH , at km 68.2 completing an approximate length of 67.3 km, Province of Chañaral, Atacama Region. Considering the length of the present initiative, it was decided to divide the programming of its investments into 2 sections, section 1 of the km, 0.9 to km 30.0 and section 2 of the km 30.0 to the km 67. The project includes improving the platform, pavement of the roadway and berms with surface treatment, considering a bidirectional roadway of 7 m wide and berms of 1.5 m. In addition to the execution of works of art, drainage, sanitation, road safety and environmental measures of varying magnitude, according to project.
