ArcelorMittal Brasil is the local unit of Luxembourg-based steel giant ArcelorMittal. The group's main activities focus on the following: long steel, flat steel, mining and tubular products. ArcelorMittal Brasil is one of the largest steel producers in Latin America, with over 15,000 workers and production exceeding 11Mt/y. The firm has industrial units in São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Santa Catarina and Espírito Santo, and 29 steel manufacturing plants in Brazil, Argentina, Costa Rica and Venezuela.
