Description

Puerto Rico's aqueduct and sewerage authority AAA is a government agency in charge of supplying potable water to nearly 90% of the island's population through a network of 130 filtration plants; 328 deep wells; 12,900km of potable water piping; 1,679 storage tanks; and pumping stations and water flow valves. AAA's 60 wastewater treatment plants serve 55% of the combined population of Puerto Rico, Vieques and Culebra islands, and process an average of 308Mg/d of raw wastewater. AAA was founded in 1945 and is based in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
