Banco Central de Reserva (BCR) is El Salvador's central reserve bank. It was established by organic constitutional law in 1961 to be responsible for promoting transparency in the financial system and management of financial resources. The bank's functions include fostering economic growth, and analyzing, following up, generating and distributing economic and financial statistics in compliance with organic law.
